Sponsorship Opportunities

The World Shore Lunch Championships are entering its third year, and there has never been a better time to get on board and sponsor this growing summer event! There are four categories of sponsorship, each of which will bring numerous promotional benefits to your company:

"Pier Pressure" Sponsors ($500)

An affordable sponsorship category that will provide great exposure at the World Shore Lunch Championsips Event:

-Your logo and/or name will be featured on large, prominent banners hung on the Visitors' Centre wall during the event


-Your logo will be listed both on this website, as well as on As well, we will make posts on our Facebook page (Visit Yellowknife) showcasing your business and thanking you for your sponsorship.

-Each year, we create a placard which is displayed prominently within the Visitors' Centre, listing all sponsors and participants in the previous year's Shore Lunch event, which will display your company's name and/or logo


-You will have the opportunity to promote your products or programs during the Shore Lunch event. There will be tables provided for sponsors to develop a trade show-style showcase, as well as open space available to display larger products such a vehicles (limited availability, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you).

-You will recieve a certificate of sponsorship recognizing your organization for its contribution to the event, which will be professionally-designed and suitable for showcasing in your own facility/office.


"Great Slave Guru" Sponsors ($1000)

An enhanced sponsorship category which will provide you with increased hands-on access to the event. Along with all the benefits of the Pier Pressure Category, you will also receive the following:

-Behind the scenes access to the World Shore Lunch Event: you will be given time to meet and mingle with the competing chefs and teams, as well as local celebrities and celebrity judges/food writers who help make the event successful.

-Your contribution will be acknowledged by the event emcee during the course of the competition and subsequent musical entertainment component. As well, you will have the opportunity to take the podium yourselves and provide remarks at a designated time during the event.



"Local Legend" Sponsors ($2000)

A flexible sponsorship category allowing enhanced access and recognition at the World Shore Lunch Event, as well as allowing for greater versatility in terms of the sponsorship itself. Along with all the benefits of the Great Slave Guru category, you will also receive the following:

-You will recieve an exclusive NFVA thank-you package consisting of: A one-year Northern Frontier Visitors' Association membership, a day-long boardroom rental at the Visitors' Centre, and a year-long advertisment on our Airport Phone board; with an estimated total value of $900.00.

-Sponsorships of this value or greater can be provided fully or partially in contra, through provision of staffing, products and services necessary for the success of the World Shore Lunch event.

-Sponsors of this category or higher will receive exclusive VIP tent seating, including food and beverage service.



"Bragging Rights" Sponsors ($5000)

Our highest category of sponsorship, this level allows you to put your brand on major components of the festival. As well as providing all of the benefits of the lower-level categories, you will also have the opportunity to place your company's name directly on one of the major components of the Shore Lunch festival. These major components include: The Brewery Showdown, the Kids' Corner, the Cooking Teams themselves, and the Entertainment Stage. Your logo will be displayed prominently on the component you choose to sponsor, and the component itself will be named after your company (Example: Northern Frontier Visitors' Association Kids' Corner; GNWT-ITI Entertainment Stage, etc.)
