Reasons to Compete

1.To be an important part of a popular, growing summer festival that is well-attended by everyone from visitors to lifelong Yellowknifers.
2.To showcase your culinary skills before a crowd of 800 to 1000 people.
3.To benefit from the festival’s strong ongoing partnership with NWT Tourism, the City of Yellowknife, The Government of the Northwest Territories Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment, and Outcrop Communications.
4.You will be able to connect with 30+ social media networks, including Regional and National Partners (Welcome Air North, our newest festival partner!)
5.All participants will be featured in an extensive print media and radio advertising campaign prior to the event
6.All participants and sponsors will be prominently displayed at the NFVA for one full year following the event (the NFVA hosts 40,000 visitors annually, in addition to numerous after-hours local meetings and events).
7.All participants and sponsors will receive plaques that can be displayed proudly in your home or place of business
8.All participants and sponsors will be advertised well in advance on our new electronic signage to be placed, visible to all highway traffic coming into town.
9.Play a role in helping promote Yellowknife as home of the biggest and tastiest freshwater fish in North America!
10.Reserved seating in the VIP tent – with some fun dedicated contests exclusive to the participants and sponsors.
11.TBA – The opportunity to meet National Travel Writers and/or a Celebrity Judge and give them a personal introduction to your business
12.All teams and sponsors will be listed and advertised in the festival program
13.All teams and sponsors’ logos will be showcased on prominent banners decorating the festival grounds.
14.All participants will have the opportunity to sell and promote their products, both during event and following throughout the evening program
15.The overall winner will be displayed on the prestigious World Shore Lunch Trophy at the NFVA.
